Brand Project Manager (danville / San Ramon)

Japonesque Professional Makeup Supplies, Inc., located in Bishop Ranch, San
Ramon, CA is seeking a full time Brand Project Manager. Founded over 25 years
ago, Japonesque has earned the reputation of creating the most versatile,
innovative, and distinctive makeup brushes and beauty supplies in the
industry. We invite you to "create beauty" with us. The duties include: •
Daily Tasks: o Vendor communication regarding project follow up, project
status, samples, pricing, sample revisions, and spec'ing new projects o
Receive, review and approve counter samples, pre-production or production
samples from vendors o Communicate with sales and customers on project
specifics o Monitor status of orders by vendor to ensure samples and approvals
are provided on time to not delay order shipment o Review and update
Salesforce Project Management software to continue to drive projects o
Maintain all approval documents received by clients and/or Japonesque
documents for branded products o Prepare pricing of all Japonesque items while
maintaining minimum margin requirements for approval/sign off by President •
Product Management: o Manage all product development for Japonesque, and any
other Japonesque owned brands. This includes:  Working with sales/customer on
concept& design  Sample process  Production QC o Manage all product related
packaging, artwork & die lines between printer, vendor, graphic designer and
Japonesque o Manage all product approvals for open orders to maintain quality
for Japonesque and other related brands o Manage current assortment for
Japonesque. Annual SKU reviews, SKU updates, exits and newness o Coordinating
sales and inventory schedules to determine the best strategy and opportunity
to launch new product o Help to lead and gain organizational alignment on
global marketing strategies and plans specifically for a major US retailer in
the Lip, Eye, Cheek within the Japonesque Beauty Marketing Division, Color
Cosmetics o Help to identify and evaluate business opportunities that maximize
revenue and profitability and minimize risk, using market research, analysis
and/or competitive market intelligence o Manage development & production
timelines to deliver new product accordingly o Vendor/Supplier relations &
compliance, including when necessary and appropriate travel to vendor
production facilities for site inspection or product sign off when required o
Source new vendors where needed and reduce costs/negotiate pricing o Because
of the global nature of the business, expected travel is 30% o R&D; --
Research retail environment for product, trend, pricing, comp items etc.,
including tradeshow attendance when necessary or appropriate This is a full-
