DESCRIPTION: This position exists to create, support, and adapt the visual identity of the Minnesota Historical Society in advertising, print materials, signage, digital media, and any platforms where MNHS has a presence. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus seven years of experience, or equivalent • Proven design or production experience in seeing projects from conception to completion • Mastery of layout design and photo editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) • Proven experience with the layout for longer-format projects, (e.g. annual reports, multi-page booklets) • Working knowledge of digital file formats, which tools to use, and when to work with them • Ability to organize simultaneous projects, set priorities, develop budgets, and meet deadlines while managing creative ideals. • Experience with a variety of design processes and methodology • Experience with video and motion graphics • Design experience in an agency setting (e.g. ad/marketing/PR) or internal marketing department.
