Accountant

POSITION. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for an Accountant to handle all aspects of accounting, including processing jobs, invoices, credit cards, journal entries and Works in Process (WIP). PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Processes cash receipts, journal entries, credit card transactions, invoices Processes reports and files on a weekly basis Processes temporary workforce, working with managers and temp agencies to ensure proper billing Processes job costing/WIP and reconciliation for subsidiary company Creates, completes and closes jobs Covers Front desk in coordination with others one day each week plus other times as needed Works with Warehouse Manager to negotiate/research rates, processes invoicing, Accounts Payable, WIP, continues good relationships with carriers for subsidiary Other Duties: Other duties as assigned Day shift, with some overtime needed to support deadlines and unanticipated events BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Accounting degree and/or 5 years related experience in a high-volume Accounting process using AP software systems Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel, and good computer skills is required Ability to present information, ask questions and respond to questions from supervisors and coworkers throughout all levels of the organization Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to reconcile invoices, credit cards, freight transactions, reports, and other forms Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving managers and employees Must be able to read and write English at a high school education level Strong administrative, organizational and customer service skills Strong attention to detail skills required Compensation: Non-exempt (hourly) wage Benefits package includes paid vacation, 401(k), medical, dental, flexible spending account and disability coverage, as well as an annual discretionary bonus.
