Adjunct Instructor, Graphic Design Dept. of Art & Design

The Adjunct Position in Graphic Design will teach 1-2 Graphic Design courses per semester as needed by the department. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to create graphic design work and effectively teach students graphic design. Minimum Qualifications:MFA or 18 hours of graduate study in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.Minimum of 18 hours of graduate study in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.Ability to teach all levels of Graphic Design courses (1-2 per semester as needed by the department).Ability to use and teach industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative Cloud apps; knowledge of Macintosh platforms.Desired Qualifications:Records of professional and creative accomplishment. Ability to teach digital and traditional media.Ability to teach Intro to Graphic Design, Typography, Brand, and Portfolio One year of teaching experience in courses listed or related courses. This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
