**Overview:** The Division of Fine and Performing Arts at Methodist University is seeking Adjunct Instructors in Art and Graphic Design to teach a variety of courses during the 2024-2025 academic year. **Responsibilities:** • Teach courses in Art and Graphic Design, including Language of Art, Renaissance and Baroque: Art History and Theory, Foundations Drawing I, Foundations Painting I... Intermediate Drawing II, ARH 3540 19th & 20th Century: Art History and Theory, and Language of Art • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments • Maintain a professional and inclusive classroom environment • Provide feedback and support to students • Participate in departmental meetings and activities as needed • *Qualifications:** • Master's Degree in Art or Graphic Design • Experience teaching in any of the above areas • Ability to teach between one and three courses per semester • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (for Graphic Design courses) or Adobe Creative Suite (for Art courses) is a plus • *Benefits:** • Opportunity to teach a variety of courses in Art and Graphic Design • Competitive hourly rate • Professional development opportunities • Collaborative and supportive departmental environment
