After-school REAL HARD Program Coordinator

Join the Oakland Kids First program team, and work closely with the Community Programs Manager to coordinate the PASS-2 and REAL HARD programs at Castlemont High School. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Subject to change due to COVID-19) Preparation and Facilitation of Programming Facilitate PASS-2 mentor training during the Castlemont High School afterschool program, for students to develop their skills in peer education and mentoring, working effectively in teams, facilitation, graduation and college knowledge, student leadership skills, and restorative justice practices. Work with Community Programs Manager to develop a recruitment/retention with 15 youth in each program. Ensure PASS-2 mentors facilitate a series of 2-4 peer-led workshops and one community builder for all 9th grade students at Castlemont, including all International 9th graders Collaborate with the OKF Program Manager to learn PASS-2 and REAL HARD curriculum and prepare weekly materials in advance of programming Partner with REAL HARD students to train school community to uphold positive school values through codes of respect and cultural currency developed by REAL HARD. Develop and run youth-led school-based equity campaign Support school improvement efforts in alignment with our work around equity and student power SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT, ORGANIZING, and GRANT REPORTING Support Youth Organizing Council, parent organizing and other aspects of OKF’s work as needed.
