Apparel Graphic Designer & E-Commerce Content Specialist
Full-Time | East Providence, Rhode Island
UP2 is a fast-growing custom apparel and retail brand specializing in personalized apparel, embroidery, printing, gifting, seasonal collections, and custom products. We produce much of our work in-house and sell across Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, and TikTok Shop.
We're looking for a highly creative designer who can help us develop new products, bring ideas to life, and get them launched across our sales channels.
The Role
This role goes beyond simply creating graphics. We want someone who can research trends, develop original product ideas, design apparel people want to wear, create compelling product imagery, and help take products from idea → design → listing → launch.
You'll work closely with our owners and production team and should have a strong eye for typography, apparel graphics, branding, color, and current consumer trends.
What You'll Do
Apparel & Product Design
Design original graphics for T-shirts, sweatshirts, embroidered apparel, hats, gifts, and seasonal products
Develop concepts for seasonal drops, holidays, trends, and evergreen products
Research apparel, retail, gifting, and social media trends
Create production-ready artwork for DTG, DTF, embroidery, and other decoration methods
Occasionally support the production team with light design or creative needs as they come up
Expand successful concepts into additional garments, colors, and collections
E-Commerce & Product Launches
Create product mockups, listing graphics, and digital assets
Help prepare product photography and imagery
Upload and publish products to Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, Faire & TikTok Shop
Keep branding and product presentation consistent across platforms
Support collection launches and update existing listings when needed
Marketplace experience is a plus, but we're happy to teach the technical side to the right creative person.
Content & Creative Marketing
Create launch graphics, social posts, stories, simple Reels/TikToks, email graphics, and website assets
Capture simple behind-the-scenes product and production content
Help maintain a consistent UP2 visual identity across channels
Who We're Looking For
A strong graphic design portfolio with excellent typography and layout skills
Strong sense of color, composition, branding, and apparel trends
Comfortable generating your own ideas and creative direction
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to move quickly without sacrificing quality
Excited to see your designs become real products and directly impact sales
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience preparing print-ready artwork
Ability to create professional mockups and digital assets
Strong attention to detail
Relevant design portfolio
Huge Plus
Experience with apparel or merchandise design, embroidery, DTG/DTF, Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, product photography, short-form video, social media content, Canva, or Premiere Pro.
You do not need experience with everything listed above. We'd rather hire an exceptional designer with great taste who can learn the e-commerce side than an e-commerce expert without a strong creative portfolio.
What Success Looks Like
Consistently creating strong new product concepts
Launching new products every week
Identifying trends and opportunities early
Improving how our products are presented online
Keeping the UP2 brand consistent across platforms
Making the product development and launch process faster and more organized
Schedule
This is a full-time position based in our Rhode Island shop, working alongside our team, seeing products being made, reviewing samples, and creating content.
As Up2 continues to expand across new products and sales channels this role has real potential to grow into a Creative Lead position overseeing design and content direction for the brand.
