Apparel Graphic Designer

This role will design original graphics and artwork for both licensed and non-licensed apparel. You'll work with our POD & DTR design team to conceptualize and create the coolest designs for our customers at lightening speed. What You'll Need: • Geek-level knowledge of Hot Topic licensed partners (Disney, Marvel, Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network, Lucasfilm, studio ghibli and more) • Minimum 2-3 years of hands on experience in graphic arts and apparel design • Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS6 Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator) is required • Formal Training (certified) and/or education in graphic arts required. Bachelor’s degree in Design or Graphic Design preferred • Ability to effectively use computer design applications and hand drawn/illustrations for mixed media artwork • You're a team player but also can thrive working independently on projects in a fast-paced environment • Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator • Inquisitiveness and open mind regarding teen music and fashion trends • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure • Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues • Knowledge with DTG process and experience is a plus • Experience designing for licensed apparel • Experience in the Streetwear industry a plus • Ability to quickly design strong trend based graphics E-Verify is a program that electronically confirms a candidate’s eligibility to work in the United States after completing the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9).
