The position is a member of the communication office team.ResponsibilitiesLayout and production of Catholic Herald Newspaper, digital edition, and e-newsletterDesign of display and classified adsProduction of photos and graphics for website and social mediaDesign of covers, special editions and special sectionsPhoto archive organizationDevelopment of sales collateral including flyers, email banners and website promotionsInitiate, develop and execute the design of multiple visual communication strategies, including digital media, conventional print media, advertising campaigns, and web communicationsPrepare complex design illustrations, templates, photos, and pictures for graphic design projectsCreate brochures, flyers, handouts, marketing materials, and web based materials including PowerPoint/PreziAdhere to organizational brand standards and incorporate brand identityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field is required.Two to five years of graphic design work experience, or equivalent, is required.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and macOS.Experience with design/layout of content for wide-variety of media including web, collateral, online/digital media and print.Ability to work well with a variety of people and within a team environment.Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan and carry out multiple projects and and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.Ability to develop conceptual ideas into reality.Knowledge and experience with contemporary communication strategies.Basic knowledge of website content management and SEO.Working knowledge of digital and print production processes and techniques.Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith is preferred.Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred.Must possess a valid drivers license.Compensation And BenefitsThe Archdiocese of Milwaukee provides a full scope of employment benefits. The position is a full-time, salaried position at the Mary Mother of the Church Pastoral Center.
