Ready to relocate to a smaller community with a great school system? William Hicks Architecture is looking for a hard working individual to immediately fulfill our needs for a full-time architect in our office located in Litchfield Minnesota.. A good candidate has graduated from an accredited architecture program or drafting school and has an interest in high-end residential design and detailing. We do all of our design in AutoCAD and Sketchup, so working knowledge of those programs is required. As a small office, you will be required to use your skills to perform a wide variety of tasks and be involved in nearly every aspect of a project while under the direct supervision of the principal architect. Job Description: \\- Drafting buildings and details in AutoCAD \\- Creating as- built drawings \\- Code review and implementation \\- Creating bid documents \\- Take-offs and cost estimating \\- Working on various architecture related tasks \\- Graphic design and Photoshop work \\- SketchUp 3D modeling \\- Photographing projects \\- Assisting on site visits \\- Measuring buildings to create "As-built" drawings \\- Doing miscellaneous light construction work Requirements \\- Degree in architecture or drafting \\- 3 years experience in take-offs and cost estimating \\- 5 years experience in project management \\- 7 years experience in architectural drafting with AutoCAD \\- Architecture license a plus \\- Experience with SketchUp a plus \\- Experience with Photoshop a plus \\- Proficient in Microsoft Office \\- Hard working \\- Friendly with a positive attitude \\- Very detail oriented \\- Organizational skills \\- Must be able to lift 53lbs.
