Architect / architectural drafter with solid AutoCAD skills

William Hicks Architecture is looking for an architect or architectural drafter with a minimum of 5 years of experience in custom residential drafting and detailing to join our team as a full-time employee. As a small office, you will be required to use your skills to perform a wide variety of tasks and be involved in nearly every aspect of an architectural office while under the direct supervision of the principal architect. Job Description: • AutoCAD drafting in building design • Construction systems detailing • Creating as-built drawings • Code review and implementation • Site plans and contour management • Creating bid documents • Take-offs and construction estimates • Perform a variety of office tasks • Graphic design and layout • Assisting with on-site work • Performing miscellaneous construction work Requirements: • Degree in architecture or drafting • 5 years of experience in architectural drafting in AutoCAD • A thorough knowledge of paper space, xrefs and layer management • A thorough knowledge of stick framed building design and detailing • Proficient in Microsoft Office apps • Knowledge of SketchUp • Knowledge of Photoshop • Solid work ethic • Friendly with a positive attitude • Highly detail oriented • Willingness to learn • Strong organizational skills • Must be able to lift 57 lbs • Full time availability in office • Pay DOE and licensing/certification
