Primary Purpose Of Position The NCCU Department of Art and Design has an immediate need for adjunct faculty Graphic Design & Innovation. In the Spring 2026 semester, the selected adjunct(s) will teach one or both of the courses below, each class meeting twice a week: ART 3060 – Design History (3 credits) A comprehensive introduction to the evolution of visual communication—from early symbolic systems and the origins of writing, to modern typography, animation, motion design, and interactive digital media. Students work with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects to explore video editing, motion graphics, compositing, sequencing, and concept development. Six studio hours weekly.
