Art Director/Graphic Designer

Art Director / Graphic DesignerMarket Connections, a full-service branding, advertising, and public relations agency is seeking an experienced Art Director to add to our award-winning team of talented creative professionals. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess meticulous attention to detail, and be well-versed in designing visuals for digital, web, and print production. This position is a regular full-time position based out of our Asheville, North Carolina office.

Job Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, and execute integrated identity, collateral, websites, and ad campaigns for brands across print, digital, and television mediums
Deliver a variety of high-quality designs for campaigns within tight timelines
Collaborate with creative directors, copywriters, project managers and account executives
Assist in selecting agency partners to execute the creative vision of each project including, but not limited to, photographers, videographers, web developers, illustrators, motion graphics artists, and printers
Participate and/or lead creative presentations to clients
Manage and respond to client feedback
Bring a positive, professional, and collaborative attitude to all projects
Research and share information with the creative department about design trends and styles
Possess a keen attention to detail and great time management skills
Maintain a high level of organization within design files and file storage

Requirements/capabilities:

5+ years experience as an art director/graphic designer
Experience working in an advertising or creative agency environment
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design or related degree
Deep knowledge of traditional, digital, video, and design tools, trends and styles
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Portfolio of personal work demonstrates strong art direction and design skills in a variety of mediums
Possess strong grasp of branding strategy and development
Understand integrated communications, including advertising, marketing, and public relations
Website design experience required, with proficiency in WordPress, Squarespace, and similar dashboard-based editors
Video experience working in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar is a bonus
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
