One of the best art galleries specializing in Realism, founded soon to be 36 years ago on Newbury St in Boston, in Lexington for 29 of the 36 years, is hiring a part-time assistant for the Gallery Assistant position. 4 times a year, you will be asked to help get a new show ready, when 3-4 days a week for 2 weeks will be needed. Experience in the Adobe suite, specifically InDesign required. The job is 55% graphic design, and HTML; ~ 25% art gallery & social media; ~ 20% artist/customer relations. The art related aspects to the job are taught by the Owner/Director: curating shows and curatorial designs of shows, brochure graphic design (marketing), cataloging art as well as carrying, wrapping and shipping of large and small artwork.
