Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the design and implementation of a wide range of institutional print materials and signage. This team member plays a vital role in communicating clear and enticing messages to our audience.Job ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this classification. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Essential Job FunctionsDesign print materials, which may include member newsletters, invitations, educational brochures, fundraising materials, catalogs, flyers, print ads, and postersDesign digital files for use in promoting exhibitions and events on social media and various other screen-based platformsDesign signage to clearly communicate with museum visitors, including, but not limited to, wayfinding signage, digital screens, and donor recognitionParticipate in collaborative planning and design development processesSolicit and evaluate multiple quotes from outside vendors, contractors, and printersManage project development and production schedules for assigned tasksParticipate in departmental budgetingTracking of project expenses compared to budgetWork effectively with volunteers and internsCoordinate projects with outside contract designers when necessaryBuild consensus across different departments for cohesive design programsQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
