In this role, the Graphic Designer will create engaging visual communications that help advance DOC's mission to:Attract foreign direct investment to the United States through the SelectUSA programPromote U.S. exportsAdvance advocacy initiativesThis is a full-time position supporting a federal contract. The position is based inWashington, DC(Federal Triangle/Metro Center) and requiresonsite work five days per weekto support close collaboration with government stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign compelling print and digital communications that support Global Markets programs and initiatives.Create marketing and communications materials, including presentations, fact sheets, infographics, flyers, posters, event collateral, conference materials, and social media graphics.Develop logos, illustrations, icons, and other visual assets for print and digital publications.Create and maintain templates, style guides, branding standards, and design toolkits to ensure a consistent visual identity.Collaborate with communications staff and program teams to translate complex information into clear, visually engaging products.Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and event vendors, reviewing assets to ensure quality and brand consistency.Manage graphic design requests, prioritize workloads, and track projects to ensure timely delivery.Ensure all materials meet federal accessibility, branding, and quality standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field3+ years of professional graphic design experienceAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)Strong experience designing presentations, publications, and marketing materials for both print and digital platformsProficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)Familiarity with accessibility requirements (Section 508) for digital communicationsExperience supporting a federal government agency or contractor preferredExperience developing or maintaining organizational branding and visual identity standards desiredExcellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Ascendant offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, paid parental leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) contributions, professional development support, and an Employee Assistance Program.#J-18808-Ljbffr
