Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and creative Interior and Exterior Sign Designer with a strong proficiency in production design. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating innovative signage solutions that enhance both indoor and outdoor environments. This role requires a keen eye for aesthetics, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and production teams.Responsibilities:Conceptualize visuals based on requirementsPrepare rough drafts and present ideasDevelop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by handUse the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphicWork with other designers and the production director to produce final designAmend designs after feedbackEnsure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brandDesign Development:Create original designs for interior and exterior signage, including pylons, monuments, multi-tenant signs, directional signs, promotional displays, and architectural signs.Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating their ideas into effective signage solutions.Technical Proficiency:Prepare production-ready files for various manufacturing processes, including CAD files for channel letter machines, CNC machines, and other signage production equipment.Ensure all designs meet industry standards and specifications for safety and durability.Project Management:Oversee projects from concept through to completion, managing timelines and coordinating with production teams.Conduct site visits to assess locations and determine the best signage solutions based on environmental factors.Collaboration:Work closely with marketing, branding, and architectural teams to ensure signage aligns with overall design goals and brand identity.Provide guidance and support to production staff during the fabrication process.Quality Assurance:Review and approve prototypes and final products to ensure quality and accuracy in design and execution.Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to continuously improve design processes.Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.Proven experience in sign design, with a strong portfolio showcasing interior and exterior projects.Proficient in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, etc.) and production technologies (CNC, channel letter production).Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques used in signage.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Proven graphic designing experienceA strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphicsFamiliarity with design software and technologies (such as Corel, Illustrator, and Photoshop)A keen eye for aesthetics and detailsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work methodically and meet deadline.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to signage.
