Assistant Professor, Graphic Design

The Assistant Professor in Graphic Design and Foundations Design will effectively teach all levels of Graphic Design courses as well as select foundations design or other courses and duties as assigned by the chair in accordance with the needs of the department and qualifications of the applicant. Essential Job Functions • Teaching and related activities. Minimum Qualifications: • MFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field, or Studio Art with significant Graphic Design experience. • Two years of teaching experience in courses listed or related courses • Ability to teach emerging technologies, UI/UX prototyping platforms, and AI-assisted creative tools relevant to the contemporary design industry. This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
