Assistant Professor of Graphic Design

The Assistant Professor in Graphic Design and Foundations Design will effectively teach all levels of Graphic Design courses as well as select foundations design or other courses and duties as assigned by the chair in accordance with the needs of the department and qualifications of the applicant. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to introduce students to and develop their skills in the use of industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative Cloud apps, and knowledge of Macintosh platforms. Essential Job Functions • Teaching and related activities. • Two years of teaching experience in courses listed or related courses • Ability to teach emerging technologies, UI/UX prototyping platforms, and AI-assisted creative tools relevant to the contemporary design industry. This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
