Associate Designer

• Assist in basic Photoshop exercises to alter images to convey lighting concepts. • Participate in the development of AutoCAD/REVIT drawing standards according to Client and project-specific requirements • Coordinate with Client CAD/BIM Managers to obtain, maintain and manage current file structure for all relevant electronic CAD/BIM information on projects. • Assist in layout and perform photometric calculations to substantiate general lighting patterns on project. • Support the development of documentation of specifications, cut sheets and fixture schedules for final review by Lead Designer(s) • Assemble cost estimates for final review by Lead Designer(s) • Prepare in-progress deliverable packages of drawings and other project documentation for periodic reviews with Lead Designer(s) • Attend client presentations and record meeting minutes/remarks as may be required • Perform initial fixture and control submittal reviews • Assist in research on energy code requirements and review sustainability checklists prepared by Client or Client’s subconsultants • Support and assist in the creation of detailed hand-drawn or computer-generated sketches, details and renderings • Create, organize and perform mockups (in-house & on-site) • Participate in and attend site surveys, on-site mockups and project commissioning exercises • Assist as requested with administrative tasks as requested by the firm Principal Required education and skills: • 4-Year College Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Theatre or Industrial Design.
