Associate Graphic Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and collaborative Graphic Packaging & Labeling Designer to join our General Surgery Group. In this role, you will be directly responsible for designing, updating, and producing packaging and product artwork—including primary/secondary labeling, lidstock, inserts, and display boxes—that supports our medical device manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:

Artwork Development & Maintenance: Design and produce packaging artwork, labels, lidstock, and display box graphics in strict adherence to brand guidelines and standard operating procedures. Prepress & Proofing: Verify vendor proofs, manage corrections, and ensure all printed production components match approved source files. Project Management: Track and execute multiple packaging projects, managing shifting deadlines and scope changes efficiently. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Packaging Engineering, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to resolve artwork and compliance queries. Validation & Documentation: Draft and execute software validation protocols and write comprehensive test reports documenting validation steps.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or equivalent professional experience. Adobe CC Mastery: Fluent in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro (Mac OS environment preferred). Prepress Expertise: Demonstrated experience in prepress artwork preparation, die-line management, and print proofing. Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance for regulated product artwork. Communication: Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills across functional groups.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Direct experience in graphic packaging and labeling for the medical device or healthcare industry. Hands-on experience with enterprise labeling systems such as Loftware (Spectrum) or Prism. Exposure to software/system validation protocols (CSV) within a medical manufacturing context.
