Offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.Essential AccountabilitiesDesign and produce visually engaging graphics, signage, and digital assets that align with the Zoo’s brand standards.Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content to support marketing, communications, and social media campaigns.Work with the Communications Coordinator to develop new and interesting ways to develop the Zoo’s visual storytelling compacity through media kits, FCZ blog, and FCZ podcast.Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop creative concepts and translate them into impactful visual materials.Occasionally assist the Senior Designer in developing a look and feel for special projects.Maintain and organize the Zoo’s photo, video, and graphics libraries for easy access and reuse.Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining design, photography, and video equipment.Ensure all visual materials meet technical specifications and quality standards for both print and digital platforms.Contribute to brainstorming sessions and campaign planning, offering creative ideas that enhance the Zoo’s storytelling.Stay current on design trends, tools, and technologies to keep the Zoo’s visual communications fresh and engaging.Foster and maintain a positive, supportive, and respectful team culture through collaborative communication, mutual respect, and proactive teamwork.Safely operate a vehicle for business purposes including but not limited to going to and from the Zoo’s facilities and offsite.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and organizational goals.Education and Job QualificationsBachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred.Minimum of six months to two years of graphic design work using the Adobe Creative Suite is required.Minimum of six months of photo/video work experience required.Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and timelines in a busy, creative setting.Bilingual preferred (Spanish or Hmong communication skills a plus.
