Since our start in 2003 as a single office in Maryland, we have expanded throughout the United States and Canada.A Day in the Life of an Environmental Graphic DesignerAs an Environmental Graphic Designer at Toole, you will be a part of our growing Graphic Design team, working collaboratively with urban designers, landscape architects, planners, and engineers to help users successfully engage with the built environment. You will bridge the gap between 2D and 3D design, using your knowledge of visual communication to help users understand and navigate their environments successfully, as well as helping public clients envision possibilities for their streets, trails, and transit stations. Toole Design is a woman-owned business and an equal opportunity employer (EO / AA / VEV / Disabled employer).Qualifications :A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or related field from an accredited college or university and / or comparable work experience in lieu of a degree.5+ years of experience in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or other related field.3+ years’ experience in wayfinding, including the preparation of design intent drawings demonstrating knowledge of fabrication techniques, relevant building / planning codes, and human-centered design.Proficiency in graphic production using Adobe Creative Suite.Experience with CAD Tools, SignAgent, GIS, and / or Sketchup preferred.Strong logic and writing skills that support the development of sign locations and messaging.Strong organizational skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects.
