Position Overview: The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Store Manager in a variety of areas including: Sales, Website Maintenance, Marketing & Social Media, In- store Merchandising & Inventory Management, Promotions and more. Candidates must have the following qualities: \\- Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment \\- Able to self-start projects and follow through to completion \\- Willingness to follow directions and execute tasks with attention to detail \\- Team player who can work together with others to accomplish time sensitive goals \\- Professional, responsible, reliable & punctual \\- Creative, motivated & upbeat in solving problems \\- Passionate and knowledgeable about bicycles and/or cycling industries in general \\- Excellent communication skills and comfortable assisting customers \\- Some computer graphic design skills Task Descriptions for the various areas: Sales & Customer Service: (Training will be provided) \\- Understand inventory management system to best assist customers with product options \\- Use store POS system to look up inventory items, check order status, manage customer data etc. \\- Adjust & update in-store pricing on bicycles and accessories to reflect sales and promotions \\- Proactively seek out partnerships & opportunities with local businesses to generate new customers Promotions & Community Events: \\- Manage public relations based on store involvement in community events, cycling advocacy etc. We are committed to hiring and training employees who share our vision for success.
