A company is looking for a Designer for their Young Adult and Middle Grade publishing team.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign covers and interior sample pages for approximately 20-25 books annuallyCollaborate with the Art Director and team members throughout the book-making processPitch and work with illustrators from project inception to completionRequired QualificationsMinimum of three years of experience in YA and middle-grade publishing book designProficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesignPortfolio showcasing strong design and typography skillsKnowledge of color correction, prepress, and file preparation for print designActive involvement in the illustrator community and ability to seek out new talent
