Location: Ewing, New JerseyType: Contract Compensation: $83 - $93 per hour Contractor Work Model: Remote Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ESTJob Description: We’re looking for a freelance Brand Designer to support our growing portfolio of brands at a billion dollar consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. This designer will focus on bringing our PDP (Product Detail Page) experiences to life across e-commerce platforms with brand-right, high-converting visuals that connect consumer insights to compelling digital storytelling.This is a great opportunity for a designer who understands the balance between brand expression and performance—someone who’s fluent in both visual design and conversion-focused UX for DTC and retail channels.Responsibilities:Design and optimize PDPs across a variety of CPG brands, working within each brand’s distinct visual identity Collaborate with brand, copy, e-commerce, and product teams to translate product features, claims, and consumer benefits into effective page layouts Create scalable design systems for PDP modules Apply a mobile-first mindset, ensuring designs are optimized across devices and retailers Implement feedback from performance data and user insights to continuously refine PDPs for conversion Deliver clean, organized Figma files and specs for dev teams or external partners Tailor creative for key retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.) based on platform best practices and technical requirements Edit and manipulate product imagery as needed, including retouching, background removal, and color adjustments Create storyboards for short-form motion content and collaborate with internal partners on production Develop simple motion graphics (GIFs or animated content) to support storytelling and engagement Collaborate with internal teams including copywriters, designers, and marketing leads to ensure brand alignment across all assets Apply established brand guidelines while identifying opportunities to evolve visual expression Stay current on eCommerce trends, platform updates, and content innovations to inform creative decisions Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards Support the development of occasional print or presentation materials when needed Explore and utilize AI tools and design technologies that increase workflow efficiency or creative effectivenessRequirements:5+ years of experience in digital, e-commerce, or marketing design Proven ability to design high-performing PDPs, landing pages, or e-commerce modules Strong eye for visual design, layout, typography, and brand nuance Experience designing for mobile-first, responsive experiences Proficiency in Figma with comfort working in design systems Bonus: Familiarity with retailer requirements and PDP best practices (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target) and/or Shopify Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere or After Effects a plus) Strong grasp of layout, color theory, and typography with a high attention to detail Comfortable working within structured brand guidelines, while bringing fresh thinking to asset development Effective communicator who is proactive, organized, and open to feedback A collaborative teammate who thrives in fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to shifting priorities Curious and tech-forward, with a desire to experiment with AI and other tools to boost design performanceSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
