ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Branding & Design Lead stewards LIFEGATE’s visual identity across sermon series, events, and ongoing ministry initiatives. This role provides clear ownership of branding, graphic design, and print deliverables while building and caring for a healthy graphic design volunteer team. Through clear, consistent, and excellent visual communication, this role supports the mission of LIFEGATE by helping people encounter Jesus and live the Made Alive life in Christ across every visual environment.

DEMONSTRATE COMMITMENT TO LIFEGATE VISION & MISSION
Pursue church membership and commit to the seven distinct practices in Romans 12:9-13: Worship, Word, Presence, Prayer, Service, Generosity, Hospitality.
Be an active, engaged participant during Sunday Gatherings and at church-wide, all-hands-on-deck events (Christmas Eve, Easter Gatherings, Prayer Nights, etc.).
Build a pipeline of leaders and volunteers, multiplying the vision to plant more congregations.
RECRUIT, ENVISION, EQUIP, & DEVELOP GRAPHIC DESIGN VOLUNTEER TEAMS
Recruit creative volunteers and assess portfolios and skillsets
Directly oversee, train and coordinate graphic and design volunteers
Coach volunteers to uphold best practices and graphic standards
Build a culture defined by love and unity, fostering a sense of team
Cast vision for volunteerism, regularly sharing testimonies and celebrating wins
Provide direction, coaching, and care / support for volunteers
CREATE GRAPHIC & VISUAL MATERIALS THAT ALIGN WITH LIFEGATE’S IDENTITY & MESSAGING STANDARDS
Collaborate with Creative Pastor on branding and visual direction for sermon series, seasonal initiatives, and key ministry events
Translate teaching themes and ministry goals into cohesive, compelling visual identities
Produce screen support for Sunday Gatherings and Prayer Nights
Update rotating informational slides on internal TV networks
Provide graphic support including (but not limited to) web, app, magazines, advertisements, products, packaging, and informational materials
Design relevant and engaging apparel that furthers the vision and mission of LIFEGATE
Ensure brand consistency across print, screen, in-person, and digital environments
Maintain and evolve brand standards, templates, and design systems
DESIGN & PRODUCE PRINT MATERIALS WITH EXCELLENCE
Design and produce print deliverables such as signage, invites, banners, handouts, and promotional materials
Manage print timelines, specifications, and vendor coordination as needed
Support ministries with design needs while maintaining creative clarity, prioritization, and brand alignment
OVERSEE THE CREATION & DEVELOPMENT OF LIFEGATE MERCHANDISE
Collaborate with Creative Pastor to develop merchandise that reflects LIFEGATE’s vision, culture, and brand identity
Contribute to the creative direction of merchandise, helping determine the appropriate look, feel, messaging, and visual expression for each initiative
Partner with vendors to select materials and fit that balance quality, durability, comfort, and cost
Review samples and provide feedback to ensure final products meet LIFEGATE’s creative and brand standards
Support the Communications Coordinator, who oversees the selling and distribution of merchandise, by ensuring creative readiness and alignment
COMPLETE OTHER TASKS & ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES WITH EXCELLENCE
Work alongside the Communications Lead on project priorities and timelines
Partner with the Storyteller Lead to ensure cohesive storytelling and visual consistency across all platforms while maintaining distinct ownership
Oversee and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
Track all subscriptions and advise in advance, to Communications, when adjustments are made
Ensure ministry email and external platforms across all departments have consistent identity and standards
Support in ensuring creative storage rooms and maintain accurate inventory of all equipment
Manage surplus equipment in alignment with the Surplus Property Disposal Policy
Provide accurate, timely responses with professionalism to all communication (phone, email, teams, etc.)
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS
CREATIVE PASTOR: The Branding & Design Lead reports directly to the Creative Pastor, who is ultimately responsible for all that takes place within Communications and Creative. As such, the Branding & Lead Designer is expected to learn from and be responsive to him in all areas of ministry vision, direction, and coaching while striving for a healthy Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity.
COMMUNICATIONS & CREATIVE TEAM: The Lead Designer should embody and exhibit servant leadership in all nteractions with the Communications & Creative Team; building a culture defined by love in every interaction.
STAFF & VOLUNTEERS: The Lead Designer should embody and exhibit servant leadership in all interactions with other ministry leaders and staff; supporting them and building a culture defined by love in every interaction.
STRATEGY & OPERATIONS PASTOR: The Strategy & Operations Pastor is responsible for ensuring all human resources across LIFEGATE are in alignment with the character, values, and competence expected of staff. The Branding & Design Lead should comply in a godly and humble manner with all efforts from the Strategy & Operations Pastor for staff development and culture.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
