Branding Graphic Design Specialist

Responsibilities: Graphic Design • Maintains Summit Church’s branding so it remains consistent and is used properly internally and with external parties • Creates designs to align church visuals with core branding, such as wall decals, mock-ups, signage, billboards, banners, etc. • Creates branding for ministries, programs, and special services, including logo, color palette, merch, digital assets, guidelines, etc. • Creates mood boards and branding for large church events (Easter, Christmas, Chosen, etc.) • Creates a quarterly look for digital slides for the church that translates to social media accounts to look/feel • Creates invitations, inserts, flyers, book designs, and workbooks for ministries and events • Attends team meetings once a week to collaborate on production duties • Carrying design projects from concept to completion while adhering to brand standards Project Coordination • Assist in developing marketing concepts for projects • Contact and negotiate with vendors for cost quotes • Coordinate meetings and communicate with staff, department leaders, and external customers for project completion • Assist the Social Media Coordinator with graphics needed • Consults with the Marketing Manager concerning project planning, changes to established policy or procedure, and non-routine financial expenditures Printing and Finishing • Prepare print-ready files, manage color accuracy, and ensure high-quality pre-press production to vendors • Package all projects after final approvals • Print, mount, and cut foam core signs • Prints flyers, cards, and inserts in an efficient manner by laying out multiple print-ready files with crop settings • Maintain the printer fully stocked with different types of paper according to projects • Change out restroom signs according to monthly or yearly events • Give notice to all involved when a project has been completed • Routine production setup: Place all printed weekly newsletters in a specific area for a team of volunteers who help with inserting flyers in these newsletters TRAVEL Weekly local travel to stores is expected: • Work projects that are outsourced from attending meetings • Reviewing projects in production, drop-off for finishing, and then pick-up upon project completion Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Must have a degree in a related field or experience in a similar field for 2 years • Must be proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Creative Suite • Knowledge of applications and programs • Knowledge of commercial printing processes • Must be able to work on multiple projects at once • Must be able to work with minimal supervision in all routine tasks • Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and external customers PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • A Degree in Graphic Design and experience in Web Design Compensation: $21 hourly • Creates a quarterly look for digital slides for the church that translates to social media accounts to look/feel • Creates invitations, inserts, flyers, book designs, and workbooks for ministries and events • Attends team meetings once a week to collaborate on production duties • Carrying design projects from concept to completion while adhering to brand standardsProject Coordination • Assist in developing marketing concepts for projects • Contact and negotiate with vendors for cost quotes • Coordinate meetings and communicate with staff, department leaders, and external customers for project completion • Assist the Social Media Coordinator with graphics needed • Consults with the Marketing Manager concerning project planning, changes to established policy or procedure, and non-routine financial expendituresPrinting and Finishing • Prepare print-ready files, manage color accuracy, and ensure high-quality pre-press production to vendors • Package all projects after final approvals • Print, mount, and cut foam core signs • Prints flyers, cards, and inserts in an efficient manner by laying out multiple print-ready files with crop settings • Maintain the printer fully stocked with different types of paper according to projects • Change out restroom signs according to monthly or yearly events • Give notice to all involved when a project has been completed • Routine production setup: Place all printed weekly newsletters in a specific area for a team of volunteers who help with inserting flyers in these newslettersTRAVELWeekly local travel to stores is expected: • Work projects that are outsourced from attending meetings • Reviewing projects in production, drop-off for finishing, and then pick-up upon project completion
