Our staff have the opportunity to grow their professional skills and work collaboratively with colleagues they admire and respect.About the roleThe Brooklyn Museum is seeking a Graphic Designer to lead the creative and design efforts for our Development and Membership teams. This role will split time between working in the Development office and being embedded in a highly collaborative design studio environment under the guidance of the Director of Graphic Design and Brand Creative. If and when capacity allows, this role will also support other key Museum initiatives external to the Development team.At the Brooklyn Museum, your work will have a direct impact on inspiring, educating, and engaging our community through art and culture. Responsibilities: Coordinate design needs across the Development team, ensuring the timely completion of materials that are consistent, clear, and impactful and align with the Museum's established brand principles Lead the design of collateral across development team, including but not limited to donor reports and proposals, brochures, direct response campaigns, email templates, invitations, fundraising decks, and sponsorship signage Identify image needs and collaborate with colleagues to plan and obtain photography, as well as secure image rights for digital and print use as needed Develop and expand on the design work for our Membership program, this includes direct mail, email design, on-site signage, swag (totes, hats, etc. Experience in non-profit fundraising a plus Attention to detail while being a creative thinker and having the ability to work both within and without guidelines Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to take direction, to receive feedback, and to execute accordingly Ability to adapt to ever-changing project types and requirements Being up to date on current trends in design, art, culture, and technology Fantastic organizational skills are necessary Passion for art a plus Department: Graphic Design Reports to: Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives Position type: Full-time Salary: $72,134.40Union status: Union-UAW Local 2110 FLSA status: Non-exempt Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pmIf you have questions about our online application system, get in touch with us at [email protected].
