CAD Designer

The CAD Designer is responsible for all aspects of CAD Design including development of prints, color combinations and graphics for each season. This position will support the Design team in developing multiple categories and brands to support business growth. The CAD Designer will work closely with the Design Director and Designer in setting the brand/label’s seasonal print fashion and core direction. Essential Functions • Re-color and design prints • Use CAD programs for style, color and pattern development • Assist with creating proper repeats of patterns • Assist in creating flat sketches computer systems • Assist in designing graphics for prints, logos, etc. • Assist Design Team in selecting and approve patterns, scale, and colors • Assist the Design Team with the design and development of colors, prints, and fabric simulations • Identify any print opportunities and provide suggestions • Scan and clean up prints to assist vendors on executing to proper number of screens • Prepare mini-boards/set-up for presentations and market • Communicate regularly with design & production teams to gather input and share print/pattern development direction • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality Qualifications Include • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or Fine Arts • Proficiency in CAD software • Strong color sense / print sense • Ability to view and differentiate the color spectrum • Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence • Strong sense of urgency - ability to do large quantity of work within short time frames prior to market dates Company Benefits • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Paid Holidays • Paid Time Off • Paid Sick Leave • 401(k) Company Perks • Collaborative company culture • Career advancement opportunities • Work and life balance • Company festivities • Catered lunches • Snacks Schedule • 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM • Monday to Friday • Work location: on-site COVID-19 Precaution(s) • Personal protective equipment provided • Social distancing guidelines in place • Plexiglass at workstations • Temperature screenings • Sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleaning procedures in place
