CAD Technician

CAD Technician Small award-winning upscale deck builder looking for CAD Technician. Works in conjunction with office staff, project manager, salesmen, and others to ensure that outdoor construction project design and engineering work conforms to high technical and organizational standards and meets or exceeds all requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Draft deck construction plans, specify dimensions and materials Collect all drawings, data, notes involved in projects to be able to draft accurate construction plans Generate material orders from construction plans Undertake site visits as needed to confirm measurements Generate 3D drawings from construction plans Draw on surveys Required skills and qualifications Ability to perform task proficiency in Chief Architect and others such as Sketch-up and Autodesk Well developed technical abilities Expertise in collaboration Basic understanding of building design and construction Attention to detail Thinking and reasoning skills Ability to use initiative -Fundamentals of Graphic Design Certification and/or CADD certification a plus. Goals: 1-Architect ready plans 2-Accurate material orders from plans 3-Accurate construction plans for onsite carpenters Salary $47,000-$52,000 401k 401k employer match up to 4% of salary Health insurance benefits [Barrett Outdoors will pay for health insurance through company group insurance for up to $600. PTO (accrued starting on day one, 1 hr per every 40 hours worked up to 40 hours PTO for the year] Paid Sick Time (accrued starting on day one, 1 hr per every 40 hours worked up to 30 hours for the year] Four paid holidays (New Years Day, Christmas, Fourth of July, Memorial Day)
