DEFINITION To perform difficult and complex cadastral drafting work in the preparation and maintenance of Assessor's maps based on legal descriptions and other information obtained from parcel maps, subdivision maps, deeds and other legal documents; and exercise technical and functional supervision over technical and clerical staff. Resolve discrepancies, erroneous and incomplete information and troubleshoot and perform related research as needed to maintain accuracy of data and to answer questions from staff or others; and coordinate processes with other departments or agencies as needed. Update, modify, convert or reconcile Assessor parcel maps to reflect jurisdictional changes of taxing agencies, changes in tax rate areas, new state utility roll maps, or other changes in the status of parcels; and maintain a complete set of Assessor's parcel maps. Maintain ownership, history and situs files; and update and complete other appropriate records, reports, and documents following designated procedures. Required License or Certificate: May need to possess a valid driver's license as required by the position.
