This role will involve creating visually appealing and user-friendly designs from a variety of projects for our DoD client.This position is located in Newport News, VA.Your future duties and responsibilities:Develop and design engaging graphics and layouts for digital and print media.Collaborate with product teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions that enhance user experience.Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring a seamless and coherent user experience across all digital platforms.Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines and UX best practices across all design projects.Stay current with industry trends, methodologies, and best practices in graphic design and user experience.Review and revise designs based on feedback from stakeholders and user testing results.Required qualifications to be successful in this role:Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret Clearance required for the role.Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, UX Design, or a related field.Proven experience as a Graphics Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills, creativity, and UX expertise.Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.Strong understanding of UX design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and usability best practices.Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity.Knowledge of web design principles and experience with HTML / CSS.Certification in graphic design, UX design, or related fields.IAT Level II Certification, such as Security+ or Cloud+ required.Desired qualifications / non-essential skills:Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).Experience with motion graphics and video editing software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro).Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines.Experience with DevSecOps principles and DoD policies related to the topic.Knowledge of configuration management and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
