The Graphic Designer will support Chubbies by creating visually compelling designs that align with our brand identity and contribute to the development of apparel graphics, trims, hangtags and packaging for our product lines. The Graphic Designer will play a vital part in elevating the Chubbies brand by enhancing the visual appeal of both our products and our customer-facing communications.Duties and responsibilitiesDesign Creation and DevelopmentDevelop original apparel graphics, trims, hangtags, & packaging for product lines, ensuring alignment with Chubbies' brand identity.Collaborate with the Director of Surface Design to refine concepts and translate creative ideas into production-ready assets.Ensure all graphic designs adhere to Chubbies' brand guidelines and resonate with the target audience.Trend Research and InspirationStay up-to-date with industry trends, color forecasts, and design innovations to inform creative decisions.Research and present mood boards, inspiration, and design concepts for seasonal collections.Explore trends in graphic design to ensure graphics are fresh and relevant.Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute fresh ideas for future designs and graphic assets.Collaboration and CommunicationPartner with cross-functional teams, including apparel designers, product managers, and product developers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with production timelines.Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure designs and graphic elements are accurately translated into finished products.Present design concepts to internal stakeholders and incorporate feedback as needed.Technical ExecutionCreate detailed design specifications, including colorways, scale adjustments, layouts, and production instructions.Prepare and maintain files for apparel designers & production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical requirements.Review samples & prototypes to ensure quality and design fidelity, providing feedback for revisions as necessary.QualificationsBachelors of (Design or Art) Fine Art, Graphic Design, Textile Design5-7 years of professional experience in designing apparelExpert in Adobe SuiteExperience and Knowledge of graphic design techniquesAbility to multitask and work well under pressureExhibits a strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage workflow and execute tasks from beginning to endTeam player: this position will work with multiple teams Field related portfolioBenefitsCompetitive SalaryUnlimited PTO for most corporate roles, accrued for othersFully-covered medical, dental, and vision benefits for employees, 80%-covered for dependents401(k), flexible spending account, and commuter benefits plans offeredGenerous employee discountPriceless opportunity to work with the coolest team ever!Inclusion ClauseAt Chubbies, we don't believe in just celebrating the weekend, we celebrate different voices, perspectives, and backgrounds.
