The Parish Administrator supports the overall work process of the Church office, works with the Rector and Parish Bookkeeper and provides general supervision to the office volunteers and contractors. A strong understanding of print layout and online media communications is necessary to publishing our worship bulletins, newsletters and website updates in a time-sensitive manner. In addition, the Parish Administrator must be vigilant in discerning pastoral needs, maintaining confidentiality of information received from parishioners, leadership, and clergy; and then bringing necessary issues to the attention of the Rector. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provides welcoming hospitality to all who phone, email or come by the Parish Office, responding to parishioner and staff requests in a timely manner • Develops, produces and publishes Worship Bulletins, Announcements and Prayers of the People for all services (weekly, as well as special services [e.g., seasonal/festival, funeral/memorial, weddings, baptisms, etc.]) • Administers the parish office, maintaining mail, files, ordering office and parish supplies as needed, and providing scheduling/guidance to office volunteers in accomplishing office/clerical tasks as needed • Additional tasks as assigned by Rector (or Associate Rector or Senior Warden in the Rector's absence) Technical Skills Required • Adobe Creative Cloud products, specifically InDesign and Photoshop.
