College Intern - Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design

Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance. Specific activities vary by department. This internship is with the Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Arts Department located in City Hall at 228 South Massachusetts Avenue in Lakeland, FL. • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other presentation software • Knowledge of Social Media Applications and best practices • General grammar proficiency for creating copy to be used on the web and creating promotional materials • Skill in the use of personal computers and standard office equipment • Ability to promptly and effectively complete tasks • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other City employees and the general public • Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, and to request clarification when needed Test times and locations to be announced.
