Communications and In-Kind Coordinator

Communications – 50% • Work with the Development Director to design a consistent media plan to share the mission and purpose of the organization to the larger community • Plan, design, and create social media and communications content consistent with the established identity and voice of the organization • Work with the Development Director to write and edit copy for website, emails, newsletters, ads, and social media posts • Use Canva and other photo editing programs along with existing photos, branding, and other tools to create images for online content • Work with various departments in the organization to develop content for use in social media and marketing • Interact with other departments of the organization to ensure online content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant • Plan and manage projects that involve visuals, video, and multimedia storytelling to support the organization • Participate in key development, social media, and communications team meetings In-Kind Coordination – 50% • Actively seek out and secure donations of in-kind goods including furniture, apartment supplies, clothing etc. • Must have the organization and time management skills to work independently, determine workload priorities to complete work in a timely manner, and identify and resolve problems. • Must have a strong visual eye and skill in graphic design • Must have core computer skills in word processing, database management, spreadsheets, electronic communication tools and simple design programs like Canva or Illustrator.
