About Family Connections Centers: Family Connections Centers develops strong, healthy families and to build thriving communities. Position Overview: The Communications Associate helps increase the visibility and awareness of our programs in order to develop and deepen partnerships with participants, community organizations, donors, and volunteers. • Research and recommend potential media partnerships that will connect with new audiences to support our free programs • Support Communications Manager on design, outreach, and marketing projects, working closely with program and administrative staff • Write, edit, and proofread brochures, postcards, newsletters, and other collateral as needed • Develop and follow annual communications calendar to ensure that education, events, news, and program updates are optimally shared, utilizing data to evaluate strategies and improve effectiveness Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Prior work or volunteer experience with graphic design, public relations, communications, branding, and/or building online presence • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment • Critical thinking, flexibility, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while staying on track for individual project details and deadlines • Strong graphic design skills and interest required, experience with Adobe suite preferred • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population and a variety of stakeholders and audiences Work Environment: This job operates in a professional classroom and office environment, and functions in a hybrid work environment, with some staff/programs occurring remote and/or on-site.
