The person in this position will work with team members to develop and deliver messages related to our research and policy work for a variety of audiences. The U.S. and Canada Communications Coordinator will also be part of the Global Communications Team where regional and global communications staff collaborate to amplify regional work, and plan cross- regional communications projects (in coordination with program teams). As a regional member of this global team, the Coordinator will develop and implement the U.S. and Canada Program’s optimal media strategies for GAIA’s global and cross-regional projects, as well as during peak moments with allied movements, such as Break Free From Plastic. -Strong writing and communications skills with the ability to translate and present science-based research and policy into a variety of communication styles for the purposes of education and advancing campaigns. -Corporate campaign experience is a plus.
