Communications Coordinator Childpeace Montessori School is seeking a Communications Coordinator to work in our Administration’s Advancement Department. The wage range begins at $20.00. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending plans, and 401(k) retirement savings. • Receive communications job requests including emails, blog posts, website updates, events promotion, and social media posts; manage timeline of recurring and one-off jobs; collaborate with staff to bring jobs to completion • Document and support others' documentation of school events and goings on in writing and photography • Create annual communications plan ensuring timely delivery • Track alumni and coordinate alumni engagement through correspondence, surveys, the Childpeace Alumni Connect program, social media, and other opportunities to be developed in collaboration with the Head of School • Create flyers, graphics, and communications to promote events; coordinate collaborations with staff and volunteer designers and photographers. • Partner with Development Coordinator and admin team to build a calendar of meaningful community events Required Qualifications (Any combination of years of experience and education to meet the requirement will be considered) • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications/Marketing, Fundraising, or Nonprofit Management • One to three years of professional experience in communication management, social media content creation, copy editing, digital marketing • Experience working in non- profit 501(c)(3) organizations Key Abilities and Personal Qualities • Strong networking and relationship management skills • Experience working across lines of difference and strong personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including keen listening skills, the ability to speak in front of an audience, and the ability to write clearly and persuasively • Strong skills with databases, spreadsheets, software, systems, social media, web-based programs • Experience in digital and graphic design, and social media campaigns • Demonstrated expertise in identifying and solving problems proactively • Proven ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise sound judgment • Character, competence, personal integrity, and actions that build trust • Willingness to change and adapt when presented with new information or data • Experience in an independent school setting (Montessori preferred) whether in a student, faculty, or administrative capacity About Childpeace: Our staff works with hundreds of toddlers through adolescents in their educational journey every year.
