The Puyallup Tribe of Indians provides a generous benefits package that includes employer paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a retirement/401(k) plan with profit sharing, paid holidays, and paid time off including birthday leave.Position Summary:This position is responsible for designing and producing graphic design projects, coordinating projects, and managing and tracking the photography and videography for the Communications Department. This position works as a team member in support of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGraphic DesignDesign and produce graphic projects including advertisements, invitations, fliers, posters, bookmarks, postcards, rack cards, forms, reports, and signage.Create, update, and maintain website pages in coordination with the rest of the digital media team, with attention to usability, readability, accessibility, etc.Design specialty publications including economic development reports, year-in-review booklets, and health and safety signage.Coordinate with outside agencies and vendors to negotiate print and graphic project deadlines, paper type, bindings, price estimates, and execution.Design the print edition of Puyallup Tribal News and digital newsletters as needed.Design graphics for the Tribe’s digital media channels.Prepare PowerPoint presentations and provide audiovisual support for public meetings.Manage the content for Tribal Administration’s in-house video screens under the direction of the content manager.Media ServicesPrint fliers, posters, etc., in-house as needed, including large-format printing.Maintain and manage comprehensive digital photo/video libraries.Respond to public relations and outside media requests for photos and video clips.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications and RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and Experience:AA Degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must demonstrate the ability to create graphics, print pages and signage that meet the Tribe’s standards.Intermediate knowledge of word processing is required.
