Communications Manager To apply, send a resume & cover letter - open until filled Compensation: $42,000-$47,000 DOE - 4 Weeks Annual Paid Time Off, Health Benefit Hours: 40 Hours/Week, Some Evening & Weekend Hours Required Location: Santa Fe Earth Care is a community-based organization founded in 2001 that trains and supports youth and community leaders working to advance social, environmental, and climate justice and equity in northern New Mexico. The manager will work with staff and member leaders to develop messaging and graphics to support the work of their campaign. Responsibilities include: \\---Communications Development & Strategy -Co-lead the strategic planning process for all Earth Care organizing campaigns -Work with organizing staff, program staff and member leaders to develop messaging for campaigns and programs -Work with staff to develop a communications plan for each campaign including framing, messaging, and communications deliverables -Create press releases, statements, calls to action, outreach materials, etc. \\---Social Media / Digital & Outreach Organizing -Manages and regularly updates Earth Care, YUCCA, and Santa Fe Mutual Aid social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) -Write and design eblasts for our membership and email list to provide updates & calls to action -Update Websites as necessary & Calls to Action pages -Engages prospective and current members on online platforms to turn them out to Earth Care events and actions -Manage member database -Graphic Design -Creates communication tools, including flyers, posters, graphics, reports for Earth Care campaign work \\---General -Contribute to the strategic direction of the organization as a staff member -Support the team and help create a positive work/organizational culture -Help staff organization-wide events -Support staff with basic IT needs -Represent the organization in the community with awareness toward networking opportunities/relationship cultivation and movement building Qualifications: -Bilingual, Spanish and English required. -At least 2 years experience in communications, outreach, marketing, and/or design preferably in the context of a campaign or community organizing.
