The Communications Specialist is responsible for communicating information about services, church events, and community announcements to the congregation and to the broader community. You will find many exciting opportunities for spiritual and community connection including: \\--traditional Lutheran services averaging 25-30 weekly attendance \\--a large Food Pantry serving 100 clients every Tuesday with the support of other church and county partnerships \\--Social life, outreach and justice organizing such as weekly community yoga class; annual Halloween Party and Strawberry Festival; local charity and advocacy work with Community Reach of Montgomery County, Interfaith Works, and Bootsie Foundation \\--Multiple, diverse organizations in its building including a PreK-3rd grade school, Rockville Meals on Wheels, and general community use. Maintain the church’s master calendar. Design and maintain church spaces used for communicating congregational life, such as the bulletin boards 8\\. Work is remote with the exception of printing and mailing materials and maintaining church spaces.
