Communications Specialist II - Graphic Designer

City of Cleveland Heights, OH Cleveland, Ohio

This position reports to the Director of Communications & Public Engagement and collaborates closely with city departments to translate strategic priorities Knowledge of: • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Bridge) • Principles of print and digital publication design • Web graphics and online presentation techniques • Public relations collateral and advertising layout • Print production workflows and vendor evaluation practices • Photography and visual storytelling principles • Public information and journalism practices • Municipal and multi-service organization communication strategies Ability to: • Create professional graphics aligned with citywide branding and communication goals • Operate digital cameras, scanners, and related equipment • Prioritize and manage multiple projects independently • Communicate clearly through visual, written, and verbal presentations • Evaluate vendor proposals and prepare project specifications • Edit content for accuracy, grammar, and clarity • Stay current with design software and industry trends • Promote the City's image through strategic visual storytelling • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and team members.
