Community and Event Manager (Santa Barbara)

This charismatic personality would organize, sell and manage a variety of programs and events geared towards SANDBOX members and the community, in addition to assisting with daily operations. Compensation range: $17 to 20 per hour + commission. Event Responsibilities \\---------------------------- \\- Assist in Securing Sponsorships for Events & Programming \\- Engage in the local community by networking & attending events \\- Develop partnerships with other organizations to support their events \\- Work with Events team to produce SANDBOX events and partner events \\- Organize monthly SANDBOX events \\- Work with local Meetup Organizers to promote their groups and support their efforts Community Responsibilities \\------------------------------------ \\- Responsible for assisting with day- to-day operations \\- Manage member billing, basic accounting, and expense tracking \\- Spearhead new member growth and conduct tours of THE SANDBOX facility \\- Recruit & manage a team of interns to assist in duties \\- Ensure all policies and member contracts are upheld \\- Engage in the larger city community by networking & attending events \\- Organize monthly membership meetings and events for feedback- & community building \\- Keep the facilities tidy and neat and manage daily facility upkeep Communications Responsibilities \\------------------------------------------ \\- Engage followers on social media platforms \\- Maintain local media contacts and handle public relations duties Required Experience \\--------------------------- \\- 3+ years experience in development, communications, and/or entrepreneurship roles \\- Proven leadership skills and vibrant personality \\- Strong written and verbal communication skills \\- Customer service and sales experience a plus Desired Platform and Software Experience \\------------------------------------------------------- \\- Proficient Computer Skills (Google, Microsoft Office) \\- Email & Social Marketing (Mailchimp, Buffer) \\- Project Management (Slack, Trello, Airtable) \\- Website Management (Wordpress) \\- Graphic Design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) About THE SANDBOX: THE SANDBOX Paso Robles is a coworking, shared office and event space dedicated to creating a community of entrepreneurs, freelancers, professionals and remote employees focused on startups, creative ventures, lifestyle brands, nonprofits and more.
