Community Outreach and Marketing Coordinator

Description The Community Outreach and Marketing Coordinator will assist with creating and implementing programs to increase public awareness of SMART including: the development and implementation of effective social media and digital programs; assisting the Communications and Marketing Manager on marketing programs and materials; developing high-quality content for both online and printed materials; maintaining agency websites; coordinating multiple projects and events (including safety education); and other associated tasks. The Community Outreach and Marketing Coordinator may also serve as the agency representative for assigned projects, which includes responding to public inquiries, assisting with outreach meetings and events and coordinating activities and reports related to SMART’s rail and bicycle/pedestrian project. • Works with the Communications and Marketing Manager on marketing programs, outreach events, informational materials, advertisements, and displays; • Preparation of agendas and presentation materials for community outreach meetings, special events and public hearings as needed. • Computer usage including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Email). • Prepare clear and accurate reports, correspondence and other written materials.
