Costume Coordinator/Designer

Reports to: Creative DirectorsDo you love bringing characters to life through the costume? Stafford Opera Troupe is seeking a volunteer Costume Coordinator/Designer to oversee the visual look of our productions.Working collaboratively with the Creative Directors, the coordinator helps develop the artistic vision for each season while coordinating the costume production.Responsibilities include:Developing costume concepts and color stories with the Creative DirectorsOrganizing costume inventoryCoordinating costume fittings (typically 1 day during the program duration)Assigning projects to costume technician volunteersSourcing and/or developing costume construction planMaintaining costume inventory throughout programSewing costumesThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creativity and organization. Basic sewing skills and pattern cutting are needed.
