Within agency policies and protocols, under the direction of the Public Information Officer/Communication Coordinator, the incumbent supports strategic communication projects related to the COVID-19 pandemic and assists with the District’s COVID-19 education and community outreach activities. As COVID response work is conducted seven days a week, weekend work may be assigned. • Assists in the analysis of public understanding of District’s COVID-19 activities to determine needed public information and educational activities to improve public health and/or enhance awareness. • Duties require carrying a cell phone or other electronic device as well as being available to work as needed to meet District needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. • May be required to stay at or return to work during public health incidents and/or emergencies to perform duties specific to this classification or to perform other duties as requested in an assigned response position.
