Creative Director - Start Up

**6 Month contract with opportunity to extend**

**40 hours a week, paid weekly, W2 (no 1099)**

**Portfolio required**

**Would look at someone that's been SR. Designer, Art Director and looking to move up to a CD level.**

**Skills & Qualifications**

812 years of experience, including at least 46 years directing a team with real direct reports.

A track record as both a strategic creative director AND a hands-on producer, not one or the other. We need someone who can set direction and still personally designs across social media, web, motion, print, marketing, experiential design, events, merchandise

A mix of client-side (in-house) team-building experience and agency-side account/vendor experience, including a track record of evaluating an existing team and making real changes when needed, not just managing around underperformance.

Direct, hands-on experience working with a founder (not just an executive team) at an early- or growth-stage company, and genuine comfort operating in ambiguity.

A strong personal portfolio showing hands-on design and animation work you personally created, not just directed, plus the video/motion taste to know what's fresh versus formulaic even when execution is delegated.

Demonstrated rigor in managing a creative queue and hitting deadlines across multiple concurrent projects, plus experience managing a creative budget and negotiating with vendors.

Experience managing an advertising or brand agency relationship on an integrated campaign, such as campaign concepts, messaging, and media/flight strategy, not just production or social vendors.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
