The Creative Multimedia Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing the External Communications team's efforts by executing the following responsibilities: Design & Branding: Generate visually engaging, brand-consistent graphics and assets for social media and digital platforms utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite.Content Coordination: Develop and oversee a dynamic social media content calendar while assisting in the distribution of external digital communications.Web Maintenance: Carry out regular updates and content entry on the agency's website via Drupal, ensuring all digital assets uphold accessibility and accuracy standards.Multimedia Production: Capture on-site photography and videography for agency events, including basic editing and optimization for online and social media use.Quality Control: Apply essential design principles (typography, layout, and color theory) to maintain a consistent, professional appearance across all agency media.REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Professional Experience: 1-3 years in graphic design, digital media, or a related discipline.Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (notably Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) for creating high-quality design assets.Multimedia Production: Proven skills in digital photography and videography, including shooting and basic post-production editing.Web & Digital Support: Familiarity with performing website content updates through a Content Management System (CMS) and managing external digital communications.Content Planning: Experience in developing or maintaining a professional content calendar for various social media platforms.Design Fundamentals: Solid knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout as demonstrated in a professional portfolio or resume.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Digital Accessibility: Understanding of designing for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance and creating accessible PDFs or web content.Specific CMS Proficiency: Previous experience specifically using Drupal for website management.Motion Graphics: Familiarity with Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro for creating animated content for social media.Public Sector Experience: Prior work in government, non-profit, or public sector communications.Advanced Social Media Tools: Experience using professional scheduling and analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Airtable).Communication Style: Ability to convey complex agency information in clear, accessible, and jargon-free language.
